PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The goal of this program is to improve Spanish language skills, achieve a deeper understanding of Costa Rican culture, and create long lasting friendships. It is an opportunity to strengthen ties of partnership between Oregon and Costa Rica. Travelers spend 8 weeks in Costa Rica, living with two different families, four weeks with each. Students are required to attend school and are encouraged to become part of the family. Two chaperones accompany the group of 25.
