FINANCES: Students pay program fees, transportation, have own spending money. Hosts provide room and board only.
VISITOR REQUIREMENTS: 15 - 18 years.
Personal interview, maturity, flexibility, and English proficiency.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: International Experience USA is dedicated to promoting inter-cultural education & understanding through cultural, academic and recreational programs on an individual and community level. Participants are carefully screened and oriented in their home countries. They are administered the necessary language proficiency tests and cross-cultural training in order to facilitate their ability to integrate into new surroundings. Host families submit a written application, provide references, and participate in the selection of the student they will receive. Community coordinators maintain contact with students, host families throughout the duration of the program.
