Time Sensitive Notice. Now is the time to list your plans for Oregon’s Fall Professional Improvement Day (October 10-11, 2008) for statewide publication in the Oregon International Council’s Fall Inservice Bulletin.

Distribution.  This Bulletin will be mailed on or about September 1 to each school district and each principal’s office (public and private) in the state.  Each listed organization and all current members of OIC will receive a copy, and it will be listed on OIC’s Homepage (http://oregonoic.org.).  Other educational organizations - ODE districts, ESD’s and professional associations - will be encouraged to make further dissemination to the fullest extent that their resources permit.

Listing Information.  Please use the enclosed form to provide information for the announcement, taking note of the conditions and limits specified for entries on each line.  Only programs designed to assist in classroom-appropriate activities are eligible.  OIC may edit your entry as necessary to fit within the available space.  Please note there is also a page for listing of Professional Development activities taking place at other times than the October 10-11, 2008 dates.

Deadline.  To guarantee inclusion in the printed bulletin we must receive listing information by August 15.  Requests received after that date will be accepted on a space-available basis, at extra cost.  Faxed and e-mailed submissions will be accepted subject to receipt of payment.  Late listings may also be included in the OIC website Bulletin only for a reduced rate.

Fees.  To cover the costs of compiling, preparing, reproducing and distributing this announcement there will be a fee of $85 for each entry, $75 for non-profit organizations, and $50 for website only listings.  Payment must be enclosed by check or a purchase order number must be included.  There will be a surcharge of $20 for each entry received after the August 15 deadline.

Please Note.  OIC is a private, non-profit organization established to strengthen the international dimension of education in Oregon, and publishes this Bulletin as a further service to Oregon education.  Responsibility for planning and conducting the activities listed, which we hope will serve the goals of better classroom education for Oregon, rests entirely with the presenting organizations.
